Metabolomics Technologist
SPARC BioCentre, SickKids
At SPARC BioCentre, we apply mass spectrometry and HPLC technologies for the molecular characterization of biological systems. Our facility is located in the Peter Gilgan Centre for Research & Learning (PGCRL) and is a core facility of the SickKids Research Institute in Toronto, Canada. SPARC provides proteomic and metabolomic expertise for the analysis of complex samples for academic scientists and industrial clients on a fee-for-service basis. The facility is well-equipped with mass spectrometry (MS) platforms including three Thermo Orbitraps (Fusion Lumos and Exploris 480), three Sciex and one Thermo triple quadrupole, and one Bruker timsTOF Pro. We are expanding our MS-based metabolomics methodologies and platform. We are recruiting a skilled, experienced technologist to join our metabolomics team. The Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Manitoba is recruiting an Assistant Professor / CRC Tier 2 in Structural or Spatial Proteomics with AI Integration. This is a tenure-track or tenured position housed in the Manitoba Centre for Proteomics and Systems Biology (MCPSB), a highly interdisciplinary environment bringing together clinician and basic scientists for clinical and translational research at the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, within Winnipeg’s largest hospital the Health Sciences Centre.

Postdoctoral Fellow in Plant- Disease Proteomics
University of Alberta
Laboratory: Dr. Glen Uhrig
The post-doctoral fellowship position will be based in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in the laboratory of Dr. R. Glen Uhrig, but will also intersect with several researchers from the Departments of Agriculture, Food and Nutritional Sciences and Computer Science.The University of Alberta is a Top 5 Canadian university, with the Department of Biological Sciences offering a diverse and vibrant community for research and education. The main interests of the Uhrig lab are to understand how diel plant growth and development is regulated using advanced genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics and phenomics techniques. Broadly, the current project will involve elements of data acquisition, curation, integration and bioinformatic analysis, culminating in the application of machine learning aimed at assessing various plant traits.

Post-Doctoral Fellow
University of Alberta
Laboratory: Dr. Andrei Drabovich
We are looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow with strong background in proteomics, mass spectrometry, bioanalytical chemistry or molecular biology, and interests in cancer proteomics. The successful candidate will join our research program in clinical proteomics at the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology. The project will include development of novel mass spectrometry assays to advance prostate cancer biomarker discovery, serological diagnostics, and antibody sequencing.
