The Trainee Pre-Symposium is open to all students and postdocs who are also registered to the main symposium. For the pre-symposium, we will organize career talks, trainee short presentations and round tables. Up to 20 short presentations will be selected for short talks from abstracts submissions (deadline March 15). The pre-symposium will start on May 1st at 11am and end on May 2nd at 1pm. The Trainee Symposium fees cover two lunches (May 1st and 2nd), one breakfast (May 2nd) and a social event (May 1st). The Hotel is not covered in the registration fees.

The Travel Awards ($500) are provided to support trainees coming from a Canadian institution outside BC (Genome Canada) or from BC but outside the Greater Vancouver Area (BCPN). The awards are reserved for trainees (students or postdocs) who have submitted an abstract and are registered to both the Trainee Pre-Symposium and the main 2018 CNPN Annual Symposium. The awards will be allocated based on the submission order. To apply, send your application to indicate your Symposium Registration ID, the abstract title and institution name, as well as the name and email of the PI of the affiliated lab. There will a limit of two awards per lab.

The 2018 CNPN Symposium will start on May 2nd at 1pm and will be followed by the half a day BCPN symposium starting on May 4th at 2pm. Participation to the BCPN symposium is free and open to non-BC participants; registration is required. An additional $40 is charged for the BCPN banquet dinner that will take place on Friday May 4 at 8pm (open to all CNPN and BCPN participants). The CNPN Annual Symposium registration fee covers breakfasts and lunches on (May 3rd and 4th) and access to the opening reception (May 2nd). Hotel is not covered in registration fees. A number of presentations will be selected for short talks based on abstracts submissions (deadline March 15). Late abstract will be accepted for poster presentations only.

The BCPN Symposium is free but registration is required. The BCPN symposium is a half a day event open to non-BC participants on May 4. The BCPN banquet is open to all CNPN and/or BCPN symposium participants.
